BoK earns Rs 1.2 billion PAT for 3rd Quarter 2015

ISLAMABAD, OCT 26 (DNA) – The Bank of Khyber (BOK)’earned Rs 1.2 billion profit after tax (PAT) its 3rd quarter ended on 30th September 2015, which was Rs 826 Million in corresponding period of 2014.The Board of Directors (BOD) was informed this morning at 133rd BOK BOD meeting in Islamabad.The 133rd BoK Board of Directors meeting was chaired by Dr. Hammad Uwais Agha, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Chairman BOK Board of Directors.


8.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Pakistan, over 200 dead

ISLAMABAD: A 8.1 magnitude earthquake struck major cities of Pakistan, including the northern areas, on Monday, leaving at least 52 dead and scores injured due to roof and building collapses.The earthquake struck the country at 2:09pm today (Monday).Forty minutes after the first earthquake, an aftershock of 4.8 magnitude was reported in the same area. Aftershocks are expected to continue in the affected areas. At least 200 people have been killed so far. The army chief has reached Peshawar to himself look after the rescue operations. 


Geeta reaches India

Indian national, Ms.Geeta left Karachi for New Delhi today. Her return was facilitated by the Government of Pakistan. Earlier, the High Commission of India, Islamabad, had confirmed her Indian nationality.During her stay in Pakistan, Ms.Geeta was looked after by the world renowned philanthropist, Abdul Sattar Edhi and his family. We wish Ms.Geeta well.
