Pakistan announce one-day squad for Sri Lanka series
LAHORE, 03 JULY (DNA) – Pakistan on Friday announced a 16-man squad for the five-match one-day series against Sri Lanka staring later this month. Education key to country’s development Muhammad Nawaz Sharif
“The importance of education — and especially schooling — cannot be overestimated. Not only has the expansion of primary and secondary education been linked to accelerated economic growth, poverty eradication and improved income equality, but education also appears to be closely associated with social enrichment and inclusion, the upgrading of human capital, increased opportunities, and enhanced freedom and welfare. That is why, as Pakistan’s prime minister, I have placed universal access to education very high on the national agenda.
President stresses enhanced Pakistan-Cuba ties
President Mamnoon Hussain has underlined the need for building a mutually beneficial relationship between Pakistan and Cuba.He was talking to Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Cuba Kamran Shafi who called on him in Islamabad.The President emphasized on further strengthening political, economic and cultural bonds between the two countries. He stated that while bilateral trade between Pakistan and Cuba has increased substantially during the past years, it is still not at par with the potential that exists between the two countries.
