12 outlaws held; narcotics and snatched valuables recovered
ISLAMABAD, MAY 02 (DNA) – Islamabad Police have arrested 12 outlaws from areas of the city and recovered weapons, narcotics, wine and valuables from them, a police spokesman said.Following the directions of DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, all officials of Islamabad police have accelerated efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers.According to details, Secretariat police arrested three accused namely Talah, Johar Abbas and Nawazish and recovered 16 wine bottles from their possession.
Bhara Khau police arrested Ali and recovered 250 gram hashish from him. Margalla police nabbed Ashraf involved in supplying drug at educational institutions and recovered 145 gram hashish from him.
Golra police arrested Wasim and recovered 370 gram hashish from him. Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad police arrested Kareem and recovered 1020 gram hashish from him.
Sihala police arrested Abdullah and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Shalimar police arrested Adeel, Waseem and Shahbaz and recovered snatched mobile and cash from their possession. Sabzi Mandi police arrested accused Rashid Abbasi wanted to police in a criminal case. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
DIG Waqar Uddin Syed has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that Islamabad Police would also safeguard its youth from various evils like use of drugs and ensure brighter future of them.
He said that it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involve d in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them. = DNA
