Zainab murder case: Adjournment motion moved in NA
ISLAMABAD, JAN 10 (DNA) – An adjournment motion was moved in National Assembly (NA) on Wednesday against abduction, rape and murder of a seven-year-old in Kasur.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) filed the motion in Assembly Secretariat.
The motion stated that the child set out for tuition some four days ago and was missing since then until her body was found today.
Zainab was abducted on January 5 and law enforcers as well as the government failed to track the missing minor.
The adjournment motion also mentions the child abuse scandal that surfaced in Kasur in 2015.
Recovery of a seven-year-old minor s body earlier today in Kasur pushed the nation in outrage with the civil administration vowing to catch the culprit and make an example out of him.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa took note of the appeal made by grieving parents and directed authorities to extend all-out support to civil administration to nab the perpetrator.
