Zaheer A. Janjua meets Canadian MPs to enhance ‘multi-faceted’ Pak-Canada ties
OTTAWA, JUN 22 /DNA/ – Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada Zaheer A. Janjua today held back-to-back meetings with Canadian Parliamentarians to explore new avenues for further broadening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Canada.
The meetings were held in the Canadian capital with Chair of Senate Human Rights Committee Senator Salma Ataullahjan and Member of Parliament Ms. Iqra Khalid and MP Mr. Shafqat Ali.
During the meetings, High Commissioner Zaheer A. Janjua underlined the role of the Pakistani diaspora in further enhancing what he called “multifaceted” ties between Pakistan and Canada.
Various matters pertaining to Student Direct Stream (SDS) as well as student and worker visa issues also came under discussion.
