Week-long Turkish Food Festival begins at Islamabad Serena Hotel
ISLAMABAD, AUG 19 (DNA) – The Islamabad Serena Hotel, in collaboration with the Embassy of The republic of Turkey, inaugurated a week-long Culinary Art Turkish Food Festival at the Grand Zamana Restaurant.
The experts of Turkish cuisine were transported from the one and only Ottoman Imperial Palace and Hotel on the Bosphorus, Çırağan Palace Kempinski located in timeless Istanbul, Turkey.
The Islamabad Serena hotel was delighted to welcome sous-chef, Serdar Öngel, chef de partie, Davut Kutlugün and pastry chef and chocolatier, Servet Kanat, who are the experienced chefs exclusively came for this festival from the magnificent Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul. Dating back to 17th century, Ciragan Palace is a worldwide recognized accommodation venue as being one of the ambassadors of Turkish hospitality and cuisine.
With Turkish cuisine is on the center stage, with a wide variety of soups, mezze and kebabs which are featured on the daily menu along with desserts and assortments. The sea food is also featured along with a live counter serving made to order shawarmas.
The chefs used premium quality ingredients and delicate techniques, giving the diner an extraordinary experience. Musicians, Yasin Özcimi, Tuncay Tuncay, Sertac Tezeren and Onur Akkus add magic to the event, playing mystical music with folk instruments such as the divan saz and cello.

The Turkish food festival is part of the Serena Hotels Cultural Diplomacy initiative. After the great success of the Culinary Art Thai Food festival in March, it is expected that the Turkish food festival will also bedazzle our guests. =DNA
