ISLAMABAD, OCT 07 (DNA) – A delegation of Senior Doctors led by Prof Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, (TI) Vice Chancellor, King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Prof. Shoaib Shafi, Regional Director, College of Physician and Surgeons (CPSP) Pakistan and Maj. Gen (Rtd) Prof Mazhar Ishaq, HI (M) Controller of Examination, College of Physician and Surgeons (CPSP) Islamabad called on Honorable Mr. Justice Javed Iqbal, Chairman NAB at NAB Headquarters.

Justice ® Javed Iqbal, Chairman NAB said that doctors play important roles in our lives, no matter our ages, cultural backgrounds or medical needs.

They ask us to do what is right for our health and the health of our loved ones. They help us when we are hurt or have fallen ill.

They comfort us when we are scared and not at our best. And most importantly, doctors talk with us about how we can preserve our most valuable resource – our good health. He said that doctors also make a difference by helping patients minimize pain, recover from a disease faster or learn to live with a disabling injury.

A patient’s ability to enjoy life, even if they can’t be cured, makes a huge difference to them and to their families. If they can go back to work after an illness, that benefits their employer, too.

And, that’s only part of what makes doctors important to society. He appreciated the performance of King Edward Medical University, Lahore under the leadership of  Prof Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, (TI) Vice Chancellor.
