Vawda, Fazl discuss about 27th Amend

ISLAMABAD: Senator Faisal Vawda on Wednesday met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence to discuss the proposed 27th Constitutional Amendment and the overall political situation in the country.
JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghauri was also present during the meeting. Both leaders exchanged views on political developments and matters of national importance.
Talking to media after the meeting, Senator Vawda expressed confidence that the 27th Amendment would be approved unanimously, saying several amendments were under consideration to create greater synergy among state institutions. He added that the role of the armed forces would be further defined under the new amendment.
Vawda said the amendment could be passed within a week, emphasizing the importance of national consensus. He also suggested that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should be taken on board if it is willing to cooperate for the country’s stability and progress.
