Uzbek delegation visits Sialkot to explore business ventures
SIALKOT, JUL 23 (DNA) – A delegation of Uzbekistan’s Embassy in collaboration of Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Council visited Sialkot city in order to develop trade and investment relations, as well as to strengthen cultural ties between two brotherly nations.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Furqat Sidikov led the Uzbek delegation.
Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized a Business Forum and also witnessed presentations devoted to Uzbekistan’s investment, trade and tourism potential.
Uzbek embassy diplomats screened the documentary called ‘I am Uzbekistan’ and made presentations on leather industry capacity of Uzbekistan.
Both sides discussed important issues of bilateral cooperation in leather production, medical instrument, sports goods, pharmaceutical and other directions.
The participants were keen to further enhance the trade and highly evaluated increased trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Pakistan in first half of 2019 that amounted more than 60 million dollar.
The delegation also visited the main office and manufacturing units of the leading Pakistani company Hilbro producing world’s famous medical instruments.
It was highly evaluated by the Embassy that owners of Hilbro were keen to establish with Uzbek partners wide range of beneficial economic cooperation including trade development and bilateral business visits.
The Uzbek delegation expressed gratitude to the President of SCCI Khwaja Masood Akhtar and leadership of Hilbro International for facilitating the visit.=DNA
