US, China to cooperate on climate crisis

WASHINGTON: The United States and China have reiterated their commitment to cooperate with each other and with other countries to tackle the climate crisis.
The joint statement, issued after a meeting between US climate envoy John Kerry and China’s special envoy for climate change Xie Zhenhua in Shanghai, said challenge of the climate change will be addressed with the seriousness and urgency that it demands despite tensions on multiple other fronts.
