Students visit various military units at Lahore Garrison
LAHORE, AUG 03 (DNA) – A group of students and faculty members from University of Central Punjab spent a day out visiting various military units and formations of Pakistan Army at Lahore Garrison. The programme, was specifically organized to enlighten students on routine functioning of Pakistan Army, its organization and defence capability.
The day long programme started with wreath laying ceremony at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay homage to martyrs of Pak Army. The students visited a field information and had an informal interaction with officers and soldiers. Later, they also witnessed arms and equipment display including small arms fire at the firing ranges.
The programme culminated with flag lowering ceremony at Wahga border. The students applauded the state of morale, commitment and professional competence of Pak Army and expressed their gratitude for being provided a life time experience and opportunity.=DNA
