Two police razakars arrested for alleged rape attempt
KARACHI: Police on Friday announced the arrest of two police volunteers accused of attempting to rape a woman.
Police said the police qaumi razakars stopped a rickshaw transporting a woman from Korangi to Seaview, beat up the driver, stole his money and took the rickshaw to the riverbed nearby.
The rickshaw driver alerted police at Gizri, who conducted a raid in the area and took the razakars into custody.
They were handed over to the Korangi Industrial Area police and the woman was sent to a hospital for a medical checkup, officials added.
