ISLAMABAD, APR 02 (DNA) – President Mamnoon Hussain has conferred Nishan-e-Imtiaz Military on Commandeer Turkish Navy Admiral Adnan Özbal.

Speaking on the occasion in Islamabad on Monday, he said that defence ties between Pakistan and Turkey will further improve in future.

The President said democratic institutions of both the countries are deeply linked with one another.

He said depth in the ties between Islamabad and Ankara is beyond words.

The President said Pakistan and Turkey are cooperating each other on international fora.

Mamnoon Hussain said that Turkey is playing a courageous role in resolving issues confronting the Muslim Ummah.

He lauded the role of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for peace in Afghanistan.

He said Turkey has wholeheartedly hosted migrants at its soil. He stressed the need for unity among the Muslim world.
