Truth always prevails: PM Imran Khan says while denouncing Indian claim of downing F-16
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Saturday took to Twitter to denounce false claims made by India’s ruling Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) of downing a Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) F-16 fighter jet in February following an intense standoff between armies of both countries.
He said that Indian ruling party’s attempt to wing election through whipping up war hysteria and false claims of downing a Pakistan’s F-16 aircraft has backfired.
These remarks came following revelations by a leading international magazine Foreign Policy while citing US defence officials that Indian claims of shooting down a Pakistani aircraft were incorrect.
“The truth always prevails and is always the best policy,” the prime minister wrote and added that Bharatiya Janata Party, India’s ruling party, attempt to win elections through whipping up war hysteria and false claims of downing a Pak F 16 has backfired with US Defence officials also confirming that no F16 was missing from Pakistan’s fleet.
