Trent Boult reveals Wasim Akram inspired him to swing the ball
Karachi : New Zealand left-arm seamer Trent Boult has revealed that it was his Pakistan idol, former left-arm pacer Wasim Akram, who inspired me to swing the ball.
On Wednesday, Trent decided to hold a Question and Answer session to interact with his fans and followers on Instagram. He was asked about his inspiration to become a fast bowler.
The 31-year-old further answered ” have a lot of idols but this guy definitely inspired me to swing the ball! No one could move the ball like he could!”
It must be noted that “Swing of Sultan” featured in 104 Tests and took 414 wickets at an average of 23.62. He is also the second-highest wicket-taker in ODI history as he claimed 502 wickets in 356 matches at an average of 23.52.
On the other hand, Boult, the number one ranked ODI bowler has picked 470 wickets in all three formats since his debut in 2011.
