Treason case: LHC orders to remove Cyril Almeida’s name from ECL
LAHORE, (DNA) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has adjourned the hearing of a petition seeking treason proceedings against former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Dawn Newspaper’s reporter Cyril Almeida till 22nd of this month.
Nawaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Cyril Almeida appeared before a full bench of the Lahore High Court today.
A three-judge bench headed by Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar held the proceedings of the case.
The Court has sought written response from federal government and councils of all concerned in the case.
The three-member bench also ordered to remove the name of Cyril Almeida from exit control list.
