Three-match hockey series organized at SMBB Hockey Stadium
NAWABSHAH, Dec 29 (APP/DNA): A three-match hockey series was organized at Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Hockey Stadium, Nawabshah, Under the auspices of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh. The event was organized on the occasion of 149th birth anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The first match of the series was played between Karachi Fitness Club and Askari Hockey Academy Nawabshah, which ended in a 3–3 draw. Earlier upon the arrival of Karachi Fitness Club team in Nawabshah, a warm welcome was extended by District Sports Office and the District Hockey Association Shaheed Benazirabad. Both teams displayed excellent skills during the match and, after a thrilling contest, the game concluded with both sides level on goals. The match was supervised by Abdul Waheed and Muhammad Ashiq. Prominent figures present on the occasion included District Sports Coordinator Muhammad Javed Malik, Secretary General District Hockey Association Syed Hasan Askari Kazmi, senior hockey player Muhammad Asif Salika, Assistant Governor Rotary International Saeed Ahmed Tanwar, and other notable personalities.
