Three held for firing outside PPP’s office in NA-120
LAHORE, SEPT 04 (DNA) – Three alleged miscreants were held on Monday for resorting to gunfire outside office of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Islampura area ahead of NA-120 by-polls.
The detentions came in a day after the then unidentified miscreants opened fire outside the party office prompting PPP to claim that the office was the target. Punjab Police had lodged a case and launched a search operation.
Geo-fencing and evidence collected at the crime site helped the police to trace the vehicle and three persons involved in the crime.
The held perpetrators are namely, Asad, Hamza and Sher Ali.
Reportedly, police have seized weapons and the vehicle used in the ‘attack’. According to the City Superintendent of Police Adil Memon, the detainees aged between 20 to 22 years were involved in disorderly conduct.
