Three FC personnel martyred, five injured in Quetta bomb blast
QUETTA (DNA) – Three members of the Frontier Corps were martyred and five others sustained critical injuries when a bomb planted in a motorcycle exploded near their vehicle which was passing through the Kuchlak Bypass area in Quetta on Friday.
According to police sources, terrorists planted about 8 to 9 kilogramme explosives in a motorcycle and parked it at the roadside near Kuchlak Bypass and detonated it with a remote control when the FC vehicle was passing through the area.
FC personnel and police rushed to the area and took the bodies and injured to Civil Hospital. The injured were later taken to the Combined Military Hospital.
Later, security forces cordoned off the area and began a search operation.
Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Longove strongly condemned the attack and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives.
He also prayed for early recovery of the injured personnel in the blast.
No one has claimed responsibility for the blast.
