TEVTA signs MoU with Millat Equipments Ltd
LAHORE, 20 APR, (DNA) – TEVTA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Millat Equipments Ltd. to start 4 demand driven courses.
These courses, including CNC Operator, Electricians, Machinists and Quality Inspectors Programmes, will be started in respective TEVTA Institutes. After successful starting of these courses, new courses relevant to engineering sector will also be initiated to promote public private partnership.
This MoU was signed by Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh and Chief Executive Millat Equipment Ahsan Imran. Chief Operating Officer TEVTA Jawad Ahmad Qureshi, Deputy General Manager Rafai Zaman Durani, Senior Manager H.R. & Admn Shahzad Nadeem, Manager Production Faisal Chaudhry and other TEVTA officers Umer Farooq, Azhar Iqbal Shad, Maqsood Ahmed, Uzma Nadia, Amber Chattha and Waheed Asghar were also present on this occasion.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while addressing the participants said that this MoU will work closely with Millat Equipment Ltd for skill assessment in the engineering industry. TEVTA will design and update curricula as well as teaching learning resources (TLR) for the trainings. TEVTA will conduct the examination of all the students in the joint training programme through PBTE/TTB and certify successful candidates.
TEVTA will also collaborate with Millat Equipment Ltd to ensure placement of trainees for on job training. TEVTA will also arrange seminars, workshops and conferences for awareness raising of industry and academia on TVET sector development in Pakistan.
Chief Executive Millat Equipment Ltd. Ahsan Imran said that we will facilitate TEVTA in designing, development and vetting of curricula for this training program. Millat Equipment Ltd. will also collaborate in nominating and providing master trainees for successful running of joint venture. We will also arrange internships for trainees and job opportunities for pass-outs through this training program. DNA
