Telenor CEO presents 50 mln cheque
ISLAMABAD, APR 20 (DNA) – CEO Telenor Pakistan Mr. Irfan Wahab Khan called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and presented a cheque of Rs. 50 million as donation to PM’s Corona Relief Fund.
SAPM for overseas Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bokhari and Senator Faisal Javed were also present during the meeting.
The CEO Telenor committed Rs. 1.6 billion towards relief activities including provision of testing kits and PPEs to the medical staff, e-learning, digital skills and food ration etc.
The CEO informed the Prime Minister that like other telecom companies, Telenor Pakistan is also facilitating its user to contribute toward PM’s Corona Relief Fund by sending SMS at 6677. The amount contributed by Telenor users will directly go to the Relief Fund.
The Prime Minister appreciated contribution of Telenor Pakistan towards provision of relief to corona affected population.
