Talal Chaudhry claims growing public confidence
ISLAMABAD, 04 AUG (DNA) — Minister of State for Interior and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) election coordinator for Poonch Division, Talal Chaudhry, chaired a high-level meeting to review the party’s preparations for the third phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, expressing confidence that the party’s governance record continues to resonate with voters.
The meeting was attended by district coordinators, constituency coordinators and PML-N’s nominated candidates from Poonch Division. Participants reviewed the party’s election campaign, organizational arrangements and polling day strategy to ensure effective coordination ahead of the next phase of voting.
Addressing the meeting, Chaudhry said the party’s performance in the first two phases of the AJK elections reflected the confidence of the Kashmiri people in the governance of the federal and Punjab governments. He maintained that voters had supported what he described as a record of performance and public service.
“The people of Kashmir voted for work and performance,” the minister said, adding that the electoral outcome demonstrated growing public appreciation for the government’s development agenda. He further asserted that every region of Pakistan aspired to achieve the level of development associated with Punjab.
Commenting on the political opposition, Chaudhry urged Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to accept the election results gracefully, remarking that political leaders should show composure in the face of electoral defeat.
The meeting concluded with party leaders reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the election campaign in Poonch Division and ensuring comprehensive organizational preparedness for the upcoming phase of the AJK elections. — DNA
