Tajikistan, Pakistan agree to enhance strategic cooperation
BEIJING, APR 24 (DNA) – in Beijing the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Sirodjidin Aslov met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Asif on sidelines of the meeting of the Council of the Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
During the meeting the two sides agreed to enhance strategic and bilateral cooperation for regional peace and stability, as well as discussed the wide range of cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan in bilateral and multilateral relations, including in the SCO framework.
Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and Pakistan have once again confirmed the commitments of two parties for the implementation of signed agreements on the construction of the transmission lines of electricity power, highway and rail connectivity between our countries, including the implementation of the CASA-1000 project, which will provide to Pakistan and Afghanistan clean energy.
Sirodiddin Aslov and Khawaja Muhammad Asif have also exchanged views on the situation in the region and the world.=DNA
