Tajikistan embassy gets RCCI best mission of the year award

ISLAMABAD, SEPT 18 (DNA) –The embassy of Tajikistan in Pakistan has got the RCCI best mission award for the year 2015. Ambassador of Tajikistan Sherali Jononov received the award, at an impressive ceremony held under the aegis of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) at the Convention Center.Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar was the chief guest on the occasion while a number of dignitaries, diplomats and people from civil society attended the function.
The Tajik embassy has been given this prestigious award because of its services for the promotion of bilateral relations. Ambassador of Tajikistan Sherali Jononov, ever since his arrival in Pakistan, has devoted much of his time in strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries.
While talking to DNA after getting the award, Ambassador Sherali told, the award speaks volumes for strong bonds of brotherhood and friendship that exist between the two countries. He noted with satisfaction that both Tajikistan and Pakistan had taken a number of strides towards further deepening their relations.
He particularly talked about CASA 1000 project work on which has already started and after completion of this project, Pakistan’s energy needs shall be met reasonably. He said, installation of transmission lines shall soon start.
The ambassador also talked about the political relations between the two countries adding the recent visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Tajikistan in connection with international water conference, was yet another significant step towards strengthening of bilateral relations.
He said, the upcoming Made in Pakistan exhibition in Dushanbe will indeed promote and cement business relations between the two counties. The RCCI, in this regard deserves credit, which has taken this important initiative to reach out to Tajikistan markets.
He hoped this venture shall be a great success keeping in view the liking of the Pakistani products in Tajikistan. The ambassador said such ventures not only generate huge business activity but also contribute towards promotion of people to people links. DNA
