ATTOCK, MAR 23: /DNA/ – The 74th annual mourning procession and Majlis-e-Aza, along with the symbolic Taboot (coffin) procession commemorating the martyrdom of Amir-ul-Momineen Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib (A.S.), was organized by Anjuman Fuqara-e-Abbas Kamalpur Syedan, Attock Cantt. The procession commenced as per tradition on the night of Saturday, 21st Ramadan, from the residence of the late Syed Baqar Hussain Naqvi in Kamalpur Syedan. Strict security arrangements were in place for the occasion.
The Majlis-e-Aza was addressed by Syed al-Zakireen Musawwar-e-Gham Zakir Ahlul Bayt Syed Shafqat Abbas Shah of Channa Sadat, Zakir Ahlul Bayt Tauqeer Abbas, Allama Syed Sibt-ul-Hasan Naqvi, and Allama Zafar Hussain Zafari, who highlighted the virtues and tribulations of Amir-ul-Momineen Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib (A.S.). Additionally, central mourning organizations from across the district participated in the event.
The duties of Nizam-e-Mimber (stage management) were performed by Haji Syed Nazaqat Hussain Naqvi. The Majlis began with the recitation of Hadith-e-Kisa by Safdar Raza Zaidi, following the long-standing tradition. As the symbolic Taboot of Amir-ul-Momineen was brought out, the mourners expressed their grief through Matam and Zanjeer Zani. Before the Majlis began, special and extensive arrangements were made for the Iftar of the participants, as per tradition.
The mourning procession and the Taboot of Amir-ul-Momineen followed their designated routes and concluded at the central Imambargah Hussainia Kamalpur Syedan. The organizer of the Majlis-e-Aza and the symbolic Taboot, Syed Qamar Abbas Naqvi, expressed gratitude to all participants and mourners of Haider-e-Karrar for their attendance.
