Firefighters end sit-in after successful talks with KMC officials

KARACHI, FEB 08, (DNA) – The sit-in staged by firefighters came to an immediate end after talks between KMC officials and protestors concluded successfully.
Mayor Karachi while taking action over the matter has ordered the payment of two month’s allowances to the firefighters.
KMC officials also assured that the firefighters would be paid the allowances on proper time.
Mayor Karachi has also ordered the relevant officials to solve the matter on priority basis.
It is pertinent to mention that the firefighters staged a demonstration against the non-payment of salary and allowances early in the morning, however after successful talks, the protest came to an end. =DNA
