Special conference at GHQ discusses country’s prevailing situation
RAWALPINDI – A special conference by the military leadership is underway at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
According to the sources, the senior military leadership is discussing on the current political situation of the country in their conference.
The conference is being presided over by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The conference is being held hours after a special court in Islamabad sentenced former president and top military official Pervez Musharraf to death in high treason case.
The verdict that was reserved on December 5was announced by a three-member bench comprising Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court (PHC) Waqar Seth, Justice Nazar Akbar of Sindh High Court (SHC) and Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court (LHC).
