Six-nation Speakers Conference underway in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD, DEC 24 (DNA) – The six-nation Speakers Conference comprising delegations from Afghanistan, Turkey, Iran, Russia and China is on Sunday underway in Islamabad.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq said that all countries are on same page against terrorism and we should not allow our mutual differences to hinder the progress.
Sadiq told that Pakistan suffered losses of 120 billion dollars in war against terrorism. He further added that Pakistan, Turkey and Iran host the most number of refugees in the world.
Chairman Raza Rabbani said in his address that Pakistan will not compromise its sovereignty at any cost. Trump administration is putting blame of its own failure on Pakistan, he commented.
President Mamnoon Hussain is also attending the conference along with Ayaz Sadiq and Raza Rabbani.
