Shortage of life-saving medicines looms in country
LAHORE, JAN 13 (DNA) — A fear of severe shortage of life-saving drugs is starting to rise across the country. According to sources, pharmaceutical companies are facing difficulties in importing raw materials for the manufacturing of medicines due to non-opening of LCs by banks. As a result, it is feared that a shortage of life-saving medicines will grip the country.
Pharmaceutical companies say they have left with the raw material for 10 days only for the production of medicines. There might be a drug crisis across the country if the government does not pay heed to this issue.
The pharma companies have demanded that the government pay attention to the emerging medicine crisis or else it will be the same as the flour crisis going on in the country. = DNA
