Shahbaz Sharif’s backache worsens, MRI shows complications in spinal-cord
LAHORE, (DNA) – The Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif excused himself from presiding over a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Thursday following doctors recommendation of rest to him when his backache worsened.
Reportedly, he will not be visiting the parliament today.
Shehbaz was scheduled to chair a meeting of PAC on law and order.
Earlier on Wednesday, doctors in the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) performed a physiotherapy and a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) when the opposition leader was suffering from severe back and neck pain.
The medical reports concluded complications in his spinalcord.
Importantly, the younger Sharif has been under judicial remand after he was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on October 5th in 2018 on corruption charges in the Ashiana-i-Iqbal Housing scam.
After issuance of his production orders by the speaker of the National Assembly, Sharif was being brought to Islamabad so he could attend assembly’s sessions.
