Shahbaz Ahmad elects as a member of International Hockey Federation
Maradona of Hockey Shahbaz Ahmad senior gave another honour to Pakistan as he became the member of International Hockey Federation executive board on Saturday.
In the annual meeting of International Hockey Federation held in India, Shahbaz got 63 votes, he needed 57 votes to become an executive board member.
The legendary player represented Pakistan in major tournaments like 1990 and 1994 World Cups. He was considered as one of the best forwards in the hockey history.
The 50-year-old captained Pakistan to the 1994 World Cup title in Sydney, the last global triumph for the country in the national sport.
