Shah Mehmood, Achakzai argue for turn to speak in NA
ISLAMABAD, OCT 11 (DNA) – Vice-chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Shah Mehmood Qureshi and chief of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Mehmood Achakzai exchanged hot words during a session of National Assembly on Wednesday over turn to speak.
Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazlur Rehman addressed the parliamentarians today and expressed on the issue of merging Federally Administered Tribal Areas into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
However, following his speech, PTI leader and Achakzai clashed on who was to speak the next. Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi adjourned session of the House for an indefinite period of time.
While talking to the media outside the parliament, Qureshi branded adjourning the session a sad development of the day. He accused the government of giving institutions controversial tendencies and demanded off the leaders to not repeat mistakes committed by the governments of the past.
