Senator Talah, Azerbaijan ambassador discuss mutual cooperation
ISLAMABAD, SEPT 11 (DNA) -Ali Alizada, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan met with Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood, the Chairman Senate Standing Committee of Pakistan, convener of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan parliamentary friendship group of Senate.
Both sides discussed matters of mutual interest. They discussed especially inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries and agreed to further expand and diversify these relations.
They also discussed cooperation in the energy sector. Pakistan needs new partners in energy sector and Azerbaijan can be a great help as the country is gifted with a lot of energy resources.
Trade and economy was yet another sector that came under discussion. In recent years both countries have increased cooperation in the trade and economy.
Various Pakistan business chambers held expos in Baku in order to explore new avenues of cooperation between the two countries.
Senator Talah assured that he would do his best to further promote and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.=DNA
