Seminar on ‘Building Climate Resilient Healthcare Infrastructure’ on Monday
KARACHI, OCT 16 (DNA) — Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD), University of Karachi will organize a one-day hybrid seminar on “Building Climate Resilient Healthcare Infrastructure: Post Disasters Scenario in Pakistan” on Monday (17th October).
The CEO of the National Disaster Risk Management Fund, Islamabad, Dr. Bilal Anwer will deliver a key note in the seminar, which is scheduled to be held during 11AM to 01:30PM.
Spokesman of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, said on Saturday that the seminar was being organized jointly by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS), the Avoidable Deaths Network (ADN), UK, Sindh Innovation Research Educational Network (SIREN), and Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research.
The spokesman said that one of objectives of the seminar was the disaster preparedness for future calamities in terms of healthcare access.
The seminar will also be addressed by distinguished speakers including Prof. Dr. Michael Petterson, Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Wasay, Secretary PAS Karachi Chapter, Prof. Dr. Nibedita S. Ray Bennett, Associate Professor in Risk Management, University of Leicester, UK, Prof. Dr. Ghazna Khalid, Technocrat, Social Activist and Gynecologist, and Dr. Nimra Iqbal of Avoidable Deaths Network. =DNA
