Sehar and Iftar timings will not see load-shedding, says govt

Islamabad, MAY 27 (DNA) – No load shedding during Sehar and Iftar timings in Ramadan, announced spokesperson for Ministry of Water and Power on Saturday.

He further commented that urban centers will observe four hours of power cuts while rural centers will see up to six hours of load shedding.

The announcement comes a day later after the presentation of federal budget 2017-18 whereby Finance Minister Ishaq Dar asserted that by next year 10,000 MW of capacity would be added to the national grid system hence ending the crisis.

Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman announced that Ramadan will begin from May 28 (Sunday).
