Section 144 imposed to prevent cheating in competitive exams
KOHAT, NOV 21 (APP/DNA): The District Administration has imposed Section 144 around all competitive examination centers to ensure the fair and transparent conduct of the PMS/AETOS exams. The restrictions will remain in effect until December 4.
According to a notification issued here Friday, Deputy Commissioner Rahimullah Mehsud has enforced a strict ban within a 100-metre radius of the designated centers, including Government Girls Degree College No. 3, Old FEF College, Government Higher Secondary School No. 1 on Jarvanda Road, and Government High School No. 3 (Boys) near Hangu Phatak. Under the order, candidates, invigilators and even police personnel are prohibited from carrying books, notes, guides, solved papers, digital diaries, mobile phones, electronic devices, weapons or any other restricted items.
The directive takes immediate effect and will remain in force until December 4. Anyone found violating the order will face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The deputy commissioner stated that the restrictions are necessary to prevent cheating, external interference and the use of unfair means during the examinations.
District police have been instructed to maintain strict vigilance around the centers, while principals of the respective institutions have been directed to fully enforce the order.
