Search operation continue in Punjab; 30 suspects held
LAHORE, FEB 18, (DNA) -Security forces apprehended dozens more suspects during search operation in different cities of Punjab.
Officials said police and Rangers, with the help of secret agencies, carried out late night search operation in Jhelum, Pindi Bhattian, Chiniot and other areas and rounded up at least 30 suspected terrorists on Friday.
Yesterday, Pakistan Army said more than 100 terrorists have been killed in operations after Thursday’s bomb blast at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine that left 88 people dead.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa Friday visited Sehwan where the latest attack took place. Both vowed to eliminate militants “with the full force of the state”.
Pakistan’s military has said that operations are in progress across the country.=DNA
