SC takes suo moto notice of road blockades near Aabpara
ISLAMABAD, MAR 15 (DNA) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar, while hearing case against the illegal blockage of roads, took notice of a road near Aabpara and ordered CDA to submit response tomorrow.
Remarking on the blockage of roads while hearing the case, he said that this illegality cannot be allowed in the name of security.
Naeem Bukhari, lawyer of a VIP hotel, complained that the obstructions were removed without hearing the hotel administration first. Upon this, CJP replied that removing obstructions from roads does not require hearing anyone and the CDA should decide according to law against any violation of law in the vicinity of the hotel.
Last month, Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar also took suo motu notice of the frequent blockade of roads for VVIP movement all over the country.
