SC to hear Mashal murder case in open court today
ISLAMABAD, APR 19, (DNA) – A three-member bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan will start proceeding on Mashal Khan suo motu notice today.
The three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice Saqib Nisar will hear the case in an open court.
Notices were issued by the Supreme Court to the IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Advocate General and registrar Wali Khan University to appear before court today.
Mashal Khan was killed by an angry mob at the Wali Khan University in Mardan on blasphemy charges.
On the other hand, the report submitted by IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Supreme Court revealed that no evidence of blasphemy was found against Mashal Khan.
