SC to hear Imran Khan disqualification case today
ISLAMABAD, JUL 31 (DNA) – A three-member bench of the Supreme Court will hear PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi s petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar and comprising Justice Umar Bandiyal and Justice Faisal Arab will hear the case.
The petitioner has alleged that in his declaration of assets for tax year 2014, Imran Khan had willfully concealed his investment of Rs2.97 million to purchase a luxury apartment at Constitution Avenue’s Grand Hyatt locality in Islamabad.
Hanif Abbasi has claimed that Imran Khan concealed his financial assets and offshore company in nomination papers filed to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for 2013 general elections.
