ISLAMABAD, JUN 05 (DNA) – A three-member bench of Supreme Court (SC) will hear the contempt of court case against former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senator Nehal Hashmi today (Monday).
The former senator is to file his reply over show-cause notice served to him by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) last week over an objectionable speech delivered to a gathering on May 28 during which he threatened the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) and the top court judges over Panama Leaks probe.
The three-member bench of Supreme Court headed by Justice Ijaz Afzal will hear the case at 01:00pm today.
Earlier, Attorney General of Pakistan had filed content of the anti-judiciary speech in the apex court as prosecutor.
