SC directs Attorney General to confirm Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s life
ISLAMABAD, JUNE 07 (DNA) – A three member bench headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard a petition in Islamabad today seeking repatriation of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.
Aafia Siddiqui’s sister Fouzia Siddiqui appeared before the court.
Supreme Court directed Attorney General to get a certificate from Pakistan embassy in the US within three days that confirms if she is still alive.
Fouzia Siddiqui told the Apex court that Pakistan Counsel General had a two hour meeting with Aafia Siddiqui on 28th of the last month.
