Sanjrani proposes liberal visa regime, direct air connectivity with Azerbaijan
BAKU, (DNA) – Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani has proposed a liberal visa regime and direct air connectivity between Pakistan and Azerbaijan to promote bilateral trade, investment and tourism.
He made this proposal during his meeting with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.
The Chairman said there is need to explore possibility of cooperation in diverse fields, including economy.
He said extension of North-South Transport Corridor to Gwadar Port would ensure the much needed connectivity and give boost to trade links between the two countries.
Sadiq Sanjrani said mutual support on the conflicts of Nagorno-Karabakh and Kashmir testifies to close understanding between Islamabad and Baku.
Azerbaijan President said Pakistan is an important country and there is huge scope to further build on cooperation and strengthen linkages.
Chairman Senate, who is leading a parliamentary delegation, also held meetings with leaders, heads of parliaments and delegates from Irish, UAE, Egypt, Korea and other countries.
He said Pakistan supports efforts aimed to establish peace and stability in the region.
