Reports regarding Tappi’s arrest rejected

DUBAI: (DNA) – Reports regarding arrest of Owais Muzaffar, alias Tappi, were rejected on Monday shortly after TV channels reported that the foster brother of Asif Zardari was taken into custody by the Interpol.
Citing unnamed sources in Federal Investigation Agency, that the reports regarding Tappi’s arrest were not correct.
Earlier, TV channels reported that the arrest was made on Pakistan’s request and Tappi was expected to be transferred to Pakistan soon.
The TV channel reported that the former Sindh Assembly lawmaker is accused of selling government lands in violation of laws.
