RCCI Rawal Int’l Expo 2017 formally inaugurated
RAWALPINDI, MAY 11 (DNA) –The five day International Rawal Expo 2017 being organized by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has been formally inaugurated here at Topi Rakh Auditorium Ayub Park Rawalpindi.
Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Minister for state Information Broadcast and National Heritage Maryam Aurangzeb were the chief guest on the occasion.
Federal Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appreciated the role of RCCI in promoting business activities in the region and congratulated on successful organizing of Rawal Expo 2017.
He said that when PMLN Government came into power in 2013, there was no CNG, no electricity, eight to 12 hours load shedding for Industries and no gas even for domestic consumers.
The situation has now improved a lot. We have made Zero load shedding for Industries, domestic consumption has been improved, and more mega watts of eletrcity has been injected to the system and we are hopeful that by the end of this year more than 10, 000 MW electricity will be added in the national grid. We are now working to run certain power stations on gas for cheaper electricity.
Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb in her welcome address lauded RCCI efforts for organizing the mega event and offered best wishes for the Rawal Expo 2017.
The minister commended the RCCI for organising the event, and said expos play a vital role in boosting business activity. The situation in the country has been improved and trade activities are flourishing. There is no load shedding for the industry, she added.
While referring to current political situation she expressed that it is the single person or an institution but Pakistan and its constitution that had turned out to be the ultimate victor in the current situation.
The information minister paid homage to the leadership skills of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as she professed that it was only because of Nawaz Sharif that democracy has secured victory.
She declared that Nawaz Sharif is the only leader of the country.Minister of State expressed that the opponents are promoting the enemy’s agenda and should instead do something for the development of the country.
She also took a jibe at Imran Khan while expressing that PTI leader does not want the country to progress.
The ministers visited various displays and commended the work of emerging entrepreneurs.=DNA
