RCCI President Zahid Latif Khan condemns atrocities at Pak/Afghan border
RAWALPINDI, APR 16 (DNA) – The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Zahid Latif Khan has condemned the atrocities at Pak/Afghan border resulted in the loss of precious lives. In a statement, he said that today’s attack on Pakistan soil by Afghan n Indian nexuses and Pak Army has reserved its right to respond it in a befitting manner. RCCI chief called it a another act of naked aggression from across the border where troops were martyred and some sustained serious injuries at Kurram agency yesterday.
He appreciated local tribes who mobilized Turi and Bangash Lashkars to support Pak Army and said that local tribes have always shown true patriotism. He deplored that none of the political leader ship condemned the attack.
However, he voiced that traders are very concern about the growing tension across the border and expressed hope that forces will show restraints as peace is the ultimate solution to the warn torn country, Afghanistan.
The officials of the Frontier Corps (FC) were reviewing arrangements to erect fences on the Pak-Afghan border in Kurram agency when the incident of unprovoked firing occurred.
Troops were carrying out routine surveillance along Pak Afghan border for plugging of gaps and making necessary preparations for starting fencing in that area when attack occurred, he added.
