RCB issues 20 notices on illegal construction
RAWALPINDI, SEPT 07 (DNA) – The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has issued notices to 20 property owners for illegal construction.
According to an RCB spokesperson, several raids have been conducted by the building control department teams of RCB, issuing notices to owners of buildings and structures constructed illegally.
The staff concerned conducted raids in several areas including Misrial Road, Quaid-e-Azam Colony, Peshawar Road, Peoples Colony and Ahmedabad; the building rules violators were served notices as RCB administration is taking action in accordance with the law against illegal constructions.
The spokesperson said that the ongoing operation against illegal construction has been accelerated on the special instruction of Cantonment Executive Officer Dr Saima Shah.
After solid steps taken in this regard, the revenue generation has also been increased, as the citizens are now submitting their building plans to get formal approval, the spokesperson said, adding that the citizens should not violate the rules, otherwise stern action will be taken and no relaxation will be shown.=DNA
