Rangers detain 20 suspects in Kharian, Sarai Alamgir
RAWALPINDI, JUN 19 (DNA) – Twenty suspects have been apprehended during an operation of the security forces in surrounding areas of Kharian and Sarai Alamgir.
According to the ISPR, Pakistan Rangers Punjab along with Counter Terrorism Department, police and intelligence agencies took part in the operation.
Illegal weapons and ammunition were also recovered from their possession.
Earlier on Saturday, Sindh personnel arrested four most wanted men suspected of planning an attack on Youm-e-Ali (R.A) procession in Karachi.
The raid was conducted on a tipoff from intelligence agencies in Orangi Town area.
Rangers spokesperson said the suspects belong to banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi group. A suicide jacket, 15 kilograms of explosives, eighteen hand grenades and other weapons were recovered from their possession.
