Rana Tanveer assures Iranian ambassador of full cooperation
ISLAMABAD, March 10 (DNA): Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost on Thursday called on Minister for Defence Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain and discussed matters of mutual interest, particularly cooperation in the field defence production.“Pakistan highly values its fraternal ties with Iran and considers it a close friend and neighbor. The two countries have cordial relations. Our doors are open for all kind of support for Iran”, said Rana Tanveer Hussain
The two sides brought a number of proposals to the table to strengthen cooperation in different areas including defence, energy and technology.
Mehdi Honardoost assured the Minister of his cooperation and said that Iran is keen to further strengthen relations with Pakistan, which are mutually beneficial to the people of both countries. He also revealed that Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani will visit Pakistan in March 2016.On which Rana Tanveer Hussain coined the idea that a working group may be constituted by both countries, during Iranian President visit ,to solve various misunderstandings between both countries.
Iran intends to expand economic cooperation with Pakistan, along with increasing regional cooperation and carrying out joint efforts in the fight against extremism and terrorism.
Iran Pakistan Gas Pipeline is also discussed during the call on. It is one of the best projects in providing safe and cheaper energy to Pakistan. It will also result in creation of jobs in both countries.=DNA
