Punjab Minister stresses to promote cultivation of oil producing crops
LAHORE, (DNA) – Punjab Agriculture Minister, Nauman Ahmad Langrial has stress the need to promote the cultivation of oil producing commodities and oil seed crops.
Presiding over a consultative meeting to review the promotion of sunflower cultivation and its sowing target, held at the Agriculture House in Lahore, he said Pakistan imports edible oil worth 3 billion rupees every year.
The Minister said, sunflower crop gets prepared in 90 to 110 days and farmers can earn good profit from its cultivation in lesser time.
He said, this year for the cultivation of sunflower government had decided to give a subsidy of five thousand rupees on per acre of land.
